Fits over drain pipe or Spee-D® Catch Basin Drain, and is ideal for draining light flows of stormwater from small lawns, landscaped areas, patios, and walkways. The 8 in. Round Drain Grate, also known as a drain cover, has an open surface area of 11.5 sq. in. and a flow rate of 35 GPM. Connects to the Spee-D® Catch Basin Drain, 6 in. sewer and drain pipe and fittings, and 6 in. single-wall corrugated pipe for a soil-tight fit. The pipe grate is ADA Compliant. Built to stand up to the elements, it’s made of polyethylene, a type of plastic, using a combination of virgin and recycled content treated with UV inhibitors to prevent fading and cracking from the sun. As part of a complete drainage system, the grate drains water entering drain pipes. The pipes carry the water to a discharge point downstream such as a pop-up emitter, or to percolate into the ground with a dry well or infiltration trench.
